to leave a gift, etc. Can you please guide me with some advice?

BuildaWill.com is a legal information website, and provides the interactive software required to fill out blank legal forms. Estate Lawyers have written and approved the majority of the content on this site, but we are unable to personally answer questions of a legal nature, as BuildaWill.com is not licensed to practice law. BuildaWill has created a comprehensive Estate Planning Guide that addresses many issues and questions you may have. If your questions are not answered in our Estate Planner, you can contact your State Bar Association for more specific information or to locate a practicing estate lawyer in your neighborhood.

Can I still use this service if I do not live in the United States?

I can't get the .pdf file to show up on my screen.
Check to see if the file opened but was minimized. It might not open automatically in some cases. If you can locate it but can't open it, then check to see that you have a current version of Adobe Acrobat. BuildaWill is compatible with version 4 and newer. For the latest version, you can download Acrobat here. At this link, scroll down and select your operating system and then a little further down, select "download". The file will download and once that is done, it should prompt you to install it.

I can't get the downloaded will to print from my computer. How can I fix this?
Check and see if your computer can print other documents. If it can’t, this might be the result of a local problem with your computer. If you are unable to resolve this issue at your computer, you can print your Will from any computer by logging in and generating the will.

How do I make my completed will legal?
It is legal as soon as you and your witnesses sign it. Read more about this in our Estate Planning Guide and in the instructions that are included at the end of your printed will..

I do not like the way some things are worded in the final will. How do I make changes to the wording in the document?
The Acrobat Will document is unable to accept changes, and we recommend that you not attempt to change your will manually. You are able to log back into BuildaWill and make changes to your input to your satisfaction. If you want to change a clause in the will, it is suggested that you contact us via a Trouble Ticket to let us know what the problem is.

In the Specific gifts section, you will first see a blank gift to fill out. Once you fill it out and Select a beneficiary for the gift, you can click the button labeled “Add gift” to add another gift to your list. Your first gift will become a link at the top of the screen, which you can edit at any time by simply clicking on it.
